I Believe In God
A man walked up to me the other day
He was very educated and he had a lot of things to say
He was oh so forward thinking and so very up to date
And he wanted to teach me about faith
He said how can you believe in a thing you've never seen?
He said how can you believe with all the evil that we have seen?
He said don't you know that no one believes in your simple old fashioned faith
I said I believe in God
I said I believe in the impossible

Though none go with me I will follow

I've been lied to, judged and hurt
All I saw was guilt and hypocrisy, why believe?
I said friend, you didn't meet my God that day

I said I've been saved by faith
I said Jesus loves me this I know
I said I believe in grace
And where He lead me I will follow

This song is so very true. I was sitting here listening to it and decided i wanted to post it and put a little something on the end here.
I believe in God, i really do!
Being a pastors kid i've seen alot that goes on behind the scene of church and "christianity" the so called christians. I've been hurt by them, personally. I went through a time where if thats who christians were and what they did then i didnt want to be one of them. So i fell away, but hid it good.
The verse says it all:
He said man I've been to a church
I've been lied to, judged and hurt
All I saw was guilt and hypocrisy, why believe?
I said friend, you didn't meet my God that day
I said friend, sit down let me tell you about grace
Well I've been where you are some yesterday, but today,
I believe
when you see people that act like that, you didn't meet My God, the one thats full of love, compassion, and grace.
He is the reason im writing this right now, God's arms are always open and I ran back to him with the hurt and everything that went with it. Im serving Him and Trusting Him to lead me in what comes in my life. No matter the circumstances.
The last year has been hard with just life in general. At discipleship camp this past week we had a lot of good speakers. Guys, pastors, church people that acted out what they said they were and challenged us to do the same.
We're here to make a difference in the world not just watch it pass by like i did for a year, a year i wish i could take back so i can grow in my faith not just stay the same and fade some like i did, but everything happens for a reason.
My favoraite quote of the week which im going to live by is
"Never look back, always look forward to God and you won't fail!"
Good words right there! The biggest thing that you could do that will help you so much in your walk is another quote from sr. high that is very important.
"The most important thing to do is fall in love with Jesus"
Falling in love with Jesus was the best thing i ever did and im going to keep it that way, He's number one in my life.
Im headed to bethany bible college tomorrow morning and im super excited to see what God has in store for me. Im going for christian education so i can be a teacher and help kids and teens out that have yet to go through what i already have. Hopefully i can help them out in life and encourage them in Christ.
I have a lot of support to go on and pursue my dreams and follow God in all i do. A lot of kids dont have that so hopefully i can be one that encourages the younger generation thats coming up! In ending this i just wanna finish it with my favorite verse.
"For I know the plans for you, "declares the Lord," plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you, "declares the Lord" and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all nations and places where I have banished you, "declares the Lord" and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile."
